Multi hyphenate, Jasmine Burke is an award-winning, highly adroit, American Actress, Filmmaker, Author, Songstress and Youth Mentor. Early on in her career, Burke made her debut into film with Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls (2007) followed by The Secret Life of Bees, (2008) and the Sundance debuted, Mississippi Dammed (2009). The beguiling, bankable talent, and Harvard alum nabbed coveted roles in other popular works as Army Wives, The Vampire Diaries, Meet the Browns, and the block buster film, Ride Along. She gained further prominence with her innate ability to masterfully portray intense, duplicitous, complex characters as well as demure, unassuming ones. Not only is she known for captivating rapt audiences, but she also garnered the attention of influential producers as Lee Daniels for which she secured a key role in his Fox series, Star as stylist, Danielle. One of her most notable roles is in Bounce TV’s hit series Saints and Sinners playing the impish Dr. Christie Johnson. Burke’s foray into leading lady was birthed when she starred in BET’s romcom “Angrily Ever After”, followed by the gripping and explosive social impact thriller, “Karen”. Unafraid to tackle enigmatic storylines, the studied actress with a plethora of theatrical productions in her stellar repertoire also starred in TV One’s feature, “Skinned”, a culturally driven title about skin whitening she co-produced. Tapping into her creative prowess led Dr. Burke to write and direct her first film, a comedy entitled Lucky Lotto, for which she won an achievement in directing at Women In Film and Television International Film Festival. Passionate about societies youth and giving back, the Kennesaw State University full scholarship earner and author of the critically acclaimed book, Work Your Audition holds workshops for aspiring young talent to high school and college students.
